The Fall of the House

The House of Representatives has fallen. As of Saturday night, November 7, 2009, the dominant Democrats of the United States Congress demonstrated their unforgettable, unforgivable treason against the American Constitution. Their inexorable attitude of superiority and arrogance–in plain defiance of the American people, is something of a historical moment in post WWII history.
In pathetic relief, the traitorous dictators of America commend each other for their ‘historic’ perfidy.
Yet, in our two-party system, it seems that integrity on the part of any Democrat is disallowed. Any Democrat with a sense of patriotism must immediately leave his ranks, and disassociate himself from such a enemy of the Republic. At this point, the Democrat Party tempts a second Civil War. Such is their determined self-idolization.
Perhaps this is some kind of collateral damage caused by our very political system itself. It seems that our American binary social operations compel certain inevitabilities. The government is for the people, or against the people. The balance of these apparently natural opposites cannot in fact be maintained by our present two party system.
And even our election system, based entirely on money, has inavoidably contributed to the fraud, imbalance, and traitorous behavior of United States congressmen in office. When the elected official represents the financial interests of the wealthy–which is apparently inevitable, the whole election process is defunct, and needs an entire overhauling. Media should, by law, provide equal time for all candidates, always. Campaign advertisements should be strictly limited, equally.
Ah, but then, how do we get the most qualified candidates to run? And what determines the candidates worthiness? A written examination? His scores on an American history and government test?
And Americans are great sportsman, anyway. We love a contest. But, we want a clear contest. We’re goal-oriented, like a football game. One or the other. The two party system is something everyone can have an equal sense of participation in. One will be a winner, the other a loser. This is the way we like it.
I say this is quite immature. However fun and exciting it is, it is short-sighted, juvenile, and produces the monstrosity in the House which we have just witnessed. Politics is an arm-twisting, cheer-leading sport, all based on the money and egotism of the “elected” officials. It is abject.
The welfare of the country should never depend on sport. It should never be a matter of “the best team money can buy,” like the New York Yankees. That’s not even real sport at all. That’s about money.
Well, there’s still hope. This little Pelosi episode in the House is a very tiny step in the direction of Communism. There are so many more hurdles to hop before the Democrats can destroy two hundred and forty years of free enterprise. This is what they want, and there is indeed cause for alarm that they are moving steadily forward in this direction.
But, it is the two party system which allows them to do this. There are far too many ignorant and false Republicans to challenge the Democrats effectively. Yes, the Democrats (and Republicans) can be voted out of office, but, before that happens, they have the opportunity to pass permanent laws–and this is the danger.
I say there must be a provision to nullify law, to change law, and to save the country from sheer stupidity. There is no virtue in blindly idolizing any law, let alone law which is positively traitorous–for the passing of which the legislators should be publicly hung. America has made sport of law, as well as politics. The goal is to make law. If you can do that, you have scored. That’s all this is about, the glory of winning the law game. That sums up our current Congress, and has summed it up from very near the begining, I’m afraid.
No, it’s not a good feeling to know that anti-American, Communist traitors are in charge of our beloved America. It is enough to incite violence in the streets. America was in fact born in a war over this very kind of issue. We simply can’t fathom that we might have to kick out our own government, by force of arms, again. And the government has built up such a strength of control over the people that such a movement would likely be stormed and eliminated before it ever started. This is unsettling. We feel helpless, and defeated. We feel disgusted, alienated, and we turn away from Washington.
We feel divorced from our beloved nation. We feel we’re in a dream of the past. The America we knew and loved is over.
Nathaniel Hawthorne tried to give us hope, back in 1837, in his dimly remembered but glorious short story, “The Gray Champion.” Hawthorne notes social abuses worse than those which caused the Revolution, and says they crop up like barnacles. In the end, the “colonists” must rise up, and when they do, the Gray Champion will reappear to lead them.
I have heard, that, whenever the descendants of the Puritans are to show the spirit of their sires, the old man appears again. When eighty years had passed, he walked once more in King-street. Five years later, in the twilight of an April morning, he stood on the green, beside the meeting-house, at Lexington, where now the obelisk of granite, with a slab of slate inlaid, commemorates the first fallen of the Revolution. And when our fathers were toiling at the breast-work on Bunker’s Hill, all through that night, the old warrior walked his rounds. Long, long may it be, ere he comes again! His hour is one of darkness, and adversity, and peril. But should domestic tyranny oppress us, or the invader’s step pollute our soil, still may the Gray Champion come; for he is the type of New-England’s hereditary spirit; and his shadowy march, on the eve of danger, must ever be the pledge, that New-England’s sons will vindicate their ancestry.
May that sons of the White Ango-Saxon Protestants find the courage and will to preserve what’s theirs. There is no other hope for the country.
