Survival and Renewal

By Dr. Eugene Narrett, Ph.D
Vignettes from KS, LA and VA: the media hammered out a “Potomac primary” which
may become a “Potomac” region, an expanded Federal District, further
fracturing the “several states” that made America. Ron Paul was set
at 4% and stayed there as if the counter was stuck. Mr. Obama again
pledged a “free” College education for everyone to be paid for partly
by serving the State. Ms. Clinton fled to Texas and declared she had
found “a new extended family.” TV personalities said “a trap door
had opened under her” as the telegenic ‘black’ man scored style points
and “momentum” as the rush, always the rush to a future without a
future was hurried by the jockeys’ whips. If he’s savvy, Mr. McCain
will “reach out” with rhetoric to voters concerned about America.
Caveat emptor… Speaking of which, Mr. Bush pledges $30 billion to fight AIDS
in Africa which, like illegal immigration, will help drain America.
While the economy crumbles and the Presidente of Mexico, a hostile foreign
power harangues Americans about their bigotry for not entirely bailing
out his regime of bandit oligarchs, the media repeat the need for
the neutered GOP to “unify around” McCain and his Democratic policies.
One fellow interviewed while bowling near Cleveland said he was a
Republican undecided between Clinton and Obama (?) but would vote
McCain because he was “not too conservative.” The hollowness of Obama
as well as his bond to an anti-white and anti-Semitic church and pastor
are whisked away; Hillary Clinton’s female appliance lurks behind
her on daises and sidewalks, also ignored. Topping the tawdry machine,
Ann Coulter declares that if McCain is nominated she will vote and
campaign for Mrs. Clinton. Told this, the latter laughed and said
“politics makes strange bedfellows.” Indeed…
But this essay is not about the horse race, its players, pace, clichés
or lies; it notes some basic actions, principles, and goals needed
for this nation to survive and be restored.
As Ron Paul stated in his speech to CPPAC, one must recognize that the
effort to renew America pervades but also extends in scope and time
far beyond his campaign for nomination. While it probably will be
important to pursue a vigorous Constitutional third party campaign,
investing time, attention, energy and money depends on events yet
to be decided. Much may happen between now and mid-September on both
the Red and Blue Teams; and much will be happening to America. Those
who love the Republic need to have contingency plans and maximal ability
to respond and open new directions of repair.
Among the things that are certain: it is important that Ron Paul remain
in Congress and that he be a frequent and articulate spokesman for
the low-tax, small government = more freedom essence of the American
way. Secondly, it is certain that the media will ignore and, when
not ignoring, mock and trivialize any third party nominee that articulates
Constitutional approaches to American life and governance. As the
oligarchs recruit and infiltrate, so must those who oppose their agenda
pervade society; because there will be under-representation on Corporate
Boards and Government Agencies, significant alternate centers of influence
must be built. Plans should be made for communication if rules for
internet or other exchanges are constrained.
Americans must beware plans to create a “centrist,” “Independent” party and
to promote it with people like the mayor of New York and Governor
of California as a “third party alternative” (Arnold said “it doesn’t
get any better than this”) that will snuff out mention or attention
for genuine alternatives. Some may recall a brief media boom for an
amendment permitting a person born in another country (say, Germany
or Mexico) to become President. At the time, Mr. Schwarzenegger was
an apparent beneficiary of such ‘amending.’ Think of California’s
intrusive laws and consider the Nazi
campaign against smoking. These intrusions and acts to control
are reasons why the NEA and its various re-education programs, the
EPA, VAWA and other aspects of Central Control via family disintegration
must be pruned back. Any policy, law or person that leads women to
turn to government not men, eventually a husband for answers and love
is a destroyer of humanity, destroyer of souls and promoter of slavery.
Those who realize that public schools are part of an industry of indoctrination
and depravity must seek out and pay knowledgeable educators who truly
can teach and inspire the classics of the Humanities.
While so-called “practical,” “centrist” “Independent” parties touted by
the media need to be critiqued and shunned, Ron Paul must do everything
he can to use his presence in the campaign, to and throughout the
convention to articulate the saving ideas at the core of his message
and movement.
An American Renewal movement must organize on a local level to maximize
durability and persistence as the nation is driven to the impoverishment,
violence, fragmentation and tyranny increasingly visible for decades
and now firmly established in habits of mind, governmental powers
and dependency. The period of massive insults to identity, directed
first against American men and the family is generalizing into a time
of massive insult to expectations of what life can and should be,
of what a relationship and human being are and can be. Women must
reject feminism, its arrogance and cruelty and men must expect them
too, and this can be done only on a local level with support from
local, non-government institutions. Foreclosures, regulations of where
you can plant, sow, build or of what you can eat must end.
It may be too late, but the effort must be made. and to all abortions after the fortieth day from conception at the
latest for this is when a human being is “formed.” (There also is
a strong case that a unique human being is present from conception
[1]and
this is the next goal). These changes, which are central to ordered
liberty, require many cultural changes that hinge on shrinking the
power of the Central Government and the nightmare of seduction, depravity,
collectivist indoctrination and drugging that constitute our public
school-“child-care” centers. These in turn require a return to the
traditional family targeted by 19th century revolutionaries and their
followers, to deference to husbands and fathers as decision-makers
and teachers. This in turn means securing our borders, an end to outsourcing,
and great reductions in (legal) immigration which should be mainly
from nations that share our heritage of Republican limited powers
and accountability. This is so fathers can find work instead of being
sent to the back of every line and then to penury or prison.
During WW II the American government maintained a 55,000 person/year quota
on Jewish immigration and made sure, at British insistence, that even
this quota never was filled.[2]
Since the Jewish
people were the source of this culture and form of accountable governance
(see “Democracy, Tyranny and a Model of Ordered Liberty” in my archive)
than this number ought to be halved or quartered for those from south
and Central America who neither share nor model our institutions or
values and are helping to destroy them. They have about forty states;
why don’t they prosper there? Can’t the Vatican help them?
Given this history, perhaps America should cap Hispanic immigration at 20,000
a year for the next forty-two years to balance what has happened to
this nation, now a collectivist welfare state with fascist imperial
aspects, since the Kennedy immigration changes of 1965.
In addition to the economic and cultural changes that the above will
help accomplish, American survival and renewal requires a Jeffersonian
approach to balancing foreign trade with domestic development. Tariffs
on imported goods to encourage local self-sufficiency – which our
oligarchs are taking from us even in food, who would have believed
this – and sound money based on fair weights and measures as stipulated
in scriptures and civil law must become major talking points for policy
and implementation with the help of local authorities. People must
talk to each other about such matters.
To make all these life-restoring changes possible, they must not only
become matters of regularly discussed policy, while forums for policy
discussion still can be used, but be put into place on the local levels
with the assistance and approval of local justice officials who will
be beholden to the citizens in their area and to the higher law of
the Ten Commandments to ensure that the Republic stays together and
that, with the Constitution, insures that there is an objective, unchanging
standard by which to judge behavior. The National Guard should be
brought home to live among their people; with greatly reduced immigration,
it may even be wise to have a draft to insure that those who serve
represent the people and not an elite, detached force increasingly
drawn from immigrants from hostile cultures, or taught by academic
commissars to look with hostility at America. The founders cautioned
against a standing army. The Constitution speaks to this.
This may not be sufficient but it is necessary for there to be some chance
to restore and renew the Constitutional Republic that brought so many
blessings to this nation. We are many decades into a process of disintegration
that has been identified and now must be repaired.

Psalm 139:12-16; in Sanhedrin 91b2 on Job 10:12 most discussants emphasize
the moment of conception as the time of ensoulment; modern science
confirms the uniqueness of each human from this “moment of attention.”

David S. Wyman, The Abandonment of the Jews: America and the Holocaust
(1984; 1998 expanded); it is a curse on America that the nation that
developed the model of national sovereignty and that sees the world
as divided into seventy distinct nations has been put on the block
for seventy years (the 1938 Evian Conference) to have its sovereignty
destroyed and its people scattered (Joel 4, etc.). See also Christopher
Simpson, Money, Law and Genocide in the 20th Century (1995).
To appreciate the extent that America has been ensnared by British
policies in the Middle East, including its creation, “Iraq,” see this
short account of their intent to create an “Arab
Federation” on the Mediterranean as championed by Round Table
editor John Dove. “in August 1944 the British government gave its
representatives in the Middle East the go-ahead to implement Iraqi
Prime Minister Nuri al-Said's 'Fertile Crescent Plan.' This entailed
forming ‘Greater Syria’ by integrating Syria with Transjordan, Palestine
[sic] and Lebanon. At a later stage, Greater Syria would be united
in a federation with Iraq. The Christian minorities in Lebanon and
the Jews in Palestine [sic].” This plan is now termed the Middle East
Free Trade Association interlinked with the Mediterranean Peace and
Prosperity Zone (see my archived essay, “Web upon Web”). The real
policy is manufacturing instability and violence till it is ‘solved’
in a Regional Federation controlled by global and regional oligarchs.
A similar process has been unfolding in Afghanistan and by the same
means: “fanning the flames of pan-Islamic imperialism” and then pretending
to douse the fires. Successive administrations have sold us on “nation-building”
of artificial nations while they destroy the world’s most ancient
and important nation. Bring our troops home and let the Europeans
and others sober up. Putting a lid on agri-business and an export-based
economy is work enough, a saving work.
Eugene Narrett received his BA, MA and PhD from Columbia University in NYC. His writings on American politics and culture and on the Middle East and geopolitics have been widely published. These include four books, the most recent being WW III: the War on the Jews and the Rise of the World Security State (2007) which examines the historical roots and purposes of the war on terror as a late stage in the undoing of the West. His previous book, Israel and the Endtimes (2006) lays the basis for these questions.
Dr. Narrett has appeared on scores of radio programs, both major networks like WABC, Radio America, Eagle Forum Radio and Westwood Communications, as well as regional and local stations. He has been honored for his essays on art and literature and on behalf of the pro-life movement.
Since receiving his doctorate in 1978, Dr. Narrett has been teaching literature and art and creating interdisciplinary courses in the Humanities. He lectures on a variety of topics relating to western civilization, geopolitics and the multi-faceted war on the family that is a striking feature of the postmodern west.
