While Congress celebrates the holiday season with their loved
ones, or travels the world on their famous junkets at the expense of
well-heeled, Gucci wearing lobbyists, we citizens will spend another year
in fear that our country will continue to be overrun by millions of
illegal aliens. In October 2006, President Bush signed the Secure Fence
Act with the assurance that 700 miles of our open and unprotected Southern
Border would finally be secured through a combination of physical and
virtual fencing, but another year of budget battles in their smoke filled
rooms have just concluded, and the $3Billion dollars designated within the
Homeland Security Appropriations Bill for Border Fence construction has
been stripped away from the America people’s national security!
Congress truly pulled the rug out from under us while we were
doing our last minute holiday shopping, deceiving the American people and
only showing good will to the 12 million lawbreakers living among us. We
must ensure that our Washington lawmakers understand that we—AND
THEY—cannot enjoy the holiday season unless we know America’s families
will be safe from the terrorists, gang criminals and international drug
cartels that are swarming our country through our open
borders.

I know that you are busy preparing to spend quality time with
your family, but it is essential that we make our voices heard throughout
this week, in order to ensure the promises Washington DC has made to
secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws during the
110th Congressional Session are kept!
While you are spending the holidays with your friends and family
members, I encourage you to share with them the importance of securing our
borders and enforcing our immigration laws so they too will send faxes to
their Washington lawmakers. We cannot allow slick politicians to use
double-talk and think that they can go unpunished when after twelve
months, they only have 20 miles of fencing constructed, rather than the
700 miles we were promised.
We are NOT willing to risk more dangerous delays, or gamble on
the political will of a new more liberal 111th Congress in
2009, which why is the border security movement must take action this
week. The Will of the People for national security and safety enforcement
must be resoundingly delivered to Congress in the same manner as we
mustered last summer for the Senate “NO Amnesty” votes.

Remember, this is the same funding that has been promised to us
since President Bush signed the Secure Fence Act in October 2006. Rep.
Duncan Hunter (R-CA) has stated several times that it was designated for
Homeland Security Department to construct a physical Border Fence and we
must make sure it becomes a reality.
We must immediately muster strong grassroots support to restore
funding for the fence construction NOW! President Bush, Senate Leader
Reid, House Speaker Pelosi and ALL of their colleagues must feel the
pressure from millions of voters.
As you know, our country is generally led by weak-kneed
politicians whose public policies will shift with the trends of polling
numbers and elite media preferences. THEY SOMETIMES TALK THE TALK, BUT IF
WE TAKE OUR EYES OFF THEM FOR AN INSTANT, THEY WILL NOT WALK THE WALK!
Their actions demonstrate that our message of BORDER SECURITY FIRST
has not been heard loud enough in Congress, and this latest maneuver to
secretly remove the funding for fence construction means we must redouble
our efforts—even during this holiday season.
If we don’t get Congress to restore the funding this year, then
there will be no federal Border Fence!

Thus far the pro-illegal immigration, open borders lobby and the
Mexican government have used their power to see that this funding was
removed—they have vast influence in Washington and will continue to use it
to devastating effect—if we let them. That is why we must take action NOW
and we implore every voter and citizen activist who called and faxed
Congress last June, to call and fax again TODAY, and AGAIN before the New

The situation continues to spiral out of control. The city of San
Francisco and eight states have efforts mounted to issue driver’s licenses
to illegal aliens. Imagine with this legal document how many more of our
roads will be flooded with illegal aliens who lawlessly entered our
country through unsecured borders!
The urgent need to restore this funding to the Homeland Security
Appropriations Bill is REAL! We are all well aware that there are more
than 12 million illegal aliens living within our communities and without a
physical Border Fence, there will be millions more next year.
We must do everything we can to secure our borders in the
110th Congress. We must keep up the pressure on gutless,
weak-kneed politicians who will only do the right thing to protect and
defend America if they hear from us more than they hear from the open
borders lobby.
This year we have successfully defeated Amnesty legislation several
times and even stopped the New York state government from rewarding
illegal behavior with driver’s licenses. With your support,
we can have one more victory in Congress this year!

Our politicians flip and flop based on poll numbers and their
pathetic desire to win the approval of the New York Times—but we have
proven they DO respond to the pressure of angry voters who are sick and
tired of seeing their elected officials legislate deleterious policies.
