Thanks to the
official endorsement from Jonnie Crivello from March for America, Jonnie was
invited to host an invite-only event with Dr. Ron Paul. Save Our State was
honored to be an invited guest, along with Frank Jorge, Jeff Schwilk, and Art
Olivier. The presentation and general audience question and answer
session, can be found on the following page in 5 parts. A huge thanks to
the AV Political Observer for covering the event. http://www.youtube.com/user/politicalobserver You can view the presentation and find out
most the facts for yourself. Here are the key points which I
completely supported:
-
Wants the USA out of the UN
-
Voted AGAINST closing military bases!! Thinks we need more bases in
the states.
-
Strict constitutionalist.
-
Believes in our sovereignty! No North American Union!
-
Believes states should be allowed to police their borders!
-
Believes homeowners have the right to protect their "borders".
-
Wants Ramos & Compean out of prison NOW!!
-
Wants to pass legislation clarifying/defining 14th amendment - NOT for
anchor babies!
-
Voted against the REAL ID!!
-
Voted YES on the Fence Bill!
-
Wants more border guards on the border!
-
Believes illegals should go back home! No rewards for bad
behavior! After the presentation, 9 anti-illegal organization
leaders met privately with Dr. Paul to clarify his positions and ask tough
questions. Many activists are concerned that Dr. Paul is anti-war, therefore
weak on foreign policy. Thankfully I asked him to clarify his
position. Dr. Paul stated that no one is for war. He said he
believes in the Christian moral theory which is defensive war. He actually
voted yes to fund going after Al Qaeda. If elected he would discuss
strategy with his military advisors regarding leaving Iraq, since the reason for
going has long past. I also asked him a question from a SOS
member: Which candidate's anti-illegal alien plan are you most similar - Romney
or Hunter? After a joke about which Romney plan? He said Duncan
Hunter!! However I was most impressed when Dr. Paul spoke with Joe
Loya, Nacho Ramos' father-in-law on my cellphone!! Dr. Paul stated that
the agents should have NEVER been sent to prison!!! Here is an
article from the event: http://parse.pl/?redirect=http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2008/jan/16/11th-hour-ron-paul-holds-his-maverick-strategy/ All
of us who attended the event were very impressed. The following is a
